Carizon Family and Community Services acknowledges that our offices are situated on the Haldimand Tract which includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Carizon serves a region located within the traditional territories of the Neutral, Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples. We endeavour to be accountable to this reality in ways that go beyond an apology or acknowledgement. We strive to continue to learn the truth, support calls to action, and promise to do our part to protect this land and learn the impacts on our Indigenous community members as we continue to walk the path of reconciliation.

Carizon is an organization that stands for family, hope and healing. Our mission is to help families thrive by strengthening their mental health and wellbeing.  Families are at the centre of the work we do and we believe that individuals have the right to define what family means to them.  

We are committed to coordinating wrap-around supports for our clients meeting them where they are, listening not only to the challenges they are facing but just as importantly, to their stories.  Our team members work at building relationships through trust and creating a sense of belonging for families and we partner with other community organizations to ensure that families can receive the breadth of help needed.  

Carizon delivers services that foster the health, skills, confidence, and resilience of every person we serve.  We actively develop community partnerships to identify, address, and advocate for effective solutions to our community’s pressing challenges and to maximize our impact.  

 We are there when life is tough and walk alongside people as they navigate stressful and challenging life situations.  Our community of families is wonderfully diverse, and we recognize that their needs are well.  Carizon values every individual's contribution through lived experiences and passions to create a healthy and vibrant community for all.
